The Infrastructure Services Operational Support (ISOS) program management team collaborates with infrastructure teams to deliver transformational solutions. We optimize and evolve processes, elevate work through tooling, and efficiently execute critical tasks. We enable others to have impact by solving problems associated with building Facebook infrastructure and operating efficiently at scale. In this role, you will work closely with Facebook Data Center teams and key Infrastructure business stakeholders to devise technical solutions for business problems and own delivery from concept to creation. You will identify opportunities to create new technical solutions and/or consolidate requirements into existing solutions to support better engineering and product development.
Lead programs that are unclear in scope where you will collaborate across infrastructure teams to align on goals, and develop innovative technical solutions.
Work closely with Technical Program Managers, Production Engineering, Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, and cross-functional Infrastructure teams to drive high-impact projects to successful completion.
Lead a complex technical space and establish a solid program around it with defined goals, program charter, long term roadmaps, metrics, communication plan, roles & responsibilities, status reports etc.
Identify operational pain points and opportunities to improve and scale business practices and drive internal process improvements across multiple teams and functions. Drive continual improvement of systems and data workflows, dependency mapping, overall process and phase exit criteria and validation.
Oversee roll-out of new tools, processes and workflows, regularly update stakeholders on progress and challenges/issues.
Elicit detailed business and technical requirements by engaging the business to capture clear functional design artifacts using techniques like use cases, technical specs, systems and data diagrams and process flow diagrams.
Provide hands-on tactical program management during new hardware development and onboarding phases and while new labs are being established.
Effectively analyze complex data across multiple programs, define or create new metrics to measure effectiveness of programs, and translate them into actionable outcomes for teams.
Foster a culture of data driven decision making.
Leads initiatives that build team strength and resiliency, mentor, support team growth and the recruiting process.
4+ years of work experience in Product or Technical Program Management with a demonstrated track record of delivering business value using technology solutions in high-tech operations space.
Demonstrated experience adapting and learning new skill sets.
Analytical, problem-solving, negotiation and organizational skills with focus under pressure.
Organizational and coordination skills along with multi-tasking experience getting things done in a fast-paced environment.
Communication experience across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Independent in examination and analysis, as well as results oriented.
Experience collaborating with different individuals across external organizations, within other geographies, and "roll-up the sleeves" to accomplish all necessary tasks cross-functional leadership skills.
Action-orientated with the experience of getting things done and overcoming obstacles and developing solutions to problems.
Advanced interpersonal skills, including relationship building and collaboration within diverse and cross-functional teams.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, systems engineering, electrical engineering, management information systems, or a related field.
Systems development and deployment experience.
Experience in operations software project management.
Knowledge of compute, storage and networking technologies.
Data Center operations knowledge.
Automation and enterprise tooling experience.
