Oracle Program Specialist, Content & Speaker Management, Global Events in Topeka, Kansas
Assist in the development and execution of corporate event marketing programs.
Assists in all aspects of pre-event program needs including but not limited to vendor selection and management, budget development and approvals, event registration and demand generation, venue selection and management (F & B, operations, etc.), event creative concept design and production. Manages all aspects of on-site event execution either directly or through outsourced vendors. Manages all post-event activities including development and execution of follow up plans for event attendees, uploading and tracking leads, wrap-up reports etc. Ensures that programs are executed successfully, efficiently and on budget so that customers experience a high degree of satisfaction in attending the event.
Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently with some assistance and guidance within defined policies and procedures. 2 years relevant experience. Marketing experience in the IT industry desired. Professional credentials in Marketing, Academic credentials desirable. Past experience in marketing, or event production/execution desirable.

About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Content and Resource Management, the Program Specialist, Content and Speaker Management for Global Events is responsible for the planning, support, and execution of both digital and physical events. While this role will assist with all aspects of the event lifecycle, its primary focus is on planning, research, content development, speaker management, day-of event support and post-event follow up. This position will have a vested interest in more than simply planning an event, but in embracing the latest standard methodologies and interactive tools to build meaningful customer engagement. The individual hired for this role with bring a history of successful, end-to-end event delivery, as well as an understanding of the systems and processes vital to complete a world-class experience in both the digital and physical spaces.
A methodical, highly-organized, and inclusive event coordinator with experience working on both digital and physical events. Passionate about building meaningful, customer-facing events and understand the value of seamless, easy-to-understand experiences. You may have a background in tech and are always thinking about things from the audience’s perspective, with an intuitive appreciation for the ways in which professionals like to learn. Ideally, with three or more years of experience coordinating events for major brands and developing novel processes to more efficiently lead those projects.
You have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and a degree of emotional intelligence. Able to balance a data-driven approach to process development and execution with ever-evolving business requirements. You operate best in a collaborative environment as part of a large virtual team, driving success through empathy and creative problem-solving.
You have great organizational and analytical skills, operating effectively with deadlines and personalities. You are an effective presenter, and a great listener, with a talent for balancing ambitious priorities. May have experience working with agency personnel and a familiarity with collaboration and productivity tools.
Support all aspects of planning and executing events, including strategic event design, platform management, collaborative development of event content, and coordination of speakers, as well as the fulfillment of production requirements onsite and off as required by the project
Collaborate across a global team, including partnering with colleagues and vendors across the globe
Independently plan and complete event activities and creative, showing strength in cross-functional project management and delivery of outstanding customer event experiences
Building and maintaining strong, positive working relationships with all colleagues
Process required documentation (contracts, POs, invoices, etc.) and system entries/updates (calendars, project management tools, etc.) for all activities on time and in compliance with Oracle policies and regulations
Timely and professional communication of project status and updates, and prompt notification of any required adjustments or concerns
Quickly learn and use multiple Oracle proprietary systems and other applications (e.g., Zoom, Excel, Word, MRM, CXD, etc.) as required to produce events
Skills & Qualifications
2-4 years of event management experience in both digital and physical event marketing environments
Willingness to take calculated risks, while driving consensus across teams
Ability to operate effectively as part of large, sophisticated virtual team
Outstanding written and verbal English communication skills
Ability to balance the broader strategic picture with day-to-day execution
Brings creativity, drive, and passion for the customer experience and program performance
Outstanding organizational and administrative skills

This position can be located anywhere in the United States or Canada and will require some domestic and international travel (less than 25% of time).
