Job Description

The Project Manager manages multiple projects, working in concert with the business, technology and other stakeholders to meet the overall goals in terms of scope, quality, budget, issue/risk management and schedule. The Project Manager will provide business and technical expertise to the approach of driving out effective planning and management of all workstreams. The role integrates plans, delivers business outcomes, advocates the project management discipline and drives project management rigor throughout Prime.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple small or medium sized projects working, closely with internal stakeholders to ensure superior customer and client experience

  • Adhere to the project management discipline and standards in accordance with the Prime Project Lifecycle methodology, with the responsibility to complete all Project Management (PM) - related artifacts (i.e. work breakdown structures, integrated project plans, issue/risk logs, project financials, status reports, meeting minutes and change logs)

  • Manage projects through the entire lifecycle using multiple methodologies (i.e. release, Waterfall, Agile): Initiation, Planning, Execution and Closure, applying issue/risk management or change control in terms of scope, schedule, cost and quality

  • Diagnose and address business and technical issues/risks to facilitate and help drive business and technical resources towards resolution or mitigation plans to ensure adherence to project scope, schedule and budget

  • Promote a common understanding of project timelines, milestones, critical path and financials in order to align project stakeholders and team members, by providing reporting to stakeholders and project leadership per Project Management (PM) Practice standards

  • Interface with all areas impacted by the project including governance, business and IT leadership and stakeholders, distributors, vendors and clients, ensuring all business objectives are successfully delivered

  • Resolve internal and external team conflict to ensure alignment to the project objectives and adherence to project schedule and budget

  • Provide informal coaching to project teams and stakeholders

  • Support PM Practice development and continuous improvement efforts as needed

  • Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; HS Diploma or GED is required

  • 2 years of work experience in project management

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship

Additional Qualifications

  • Proven ability to lead, counsel, influence and find win-win compromise solutions through the interpretation of facts, practices and policies

  • Self-directed and strong personal initiative and accountability with the ability to independently deliver against all job accountabilities, including prioritizing tasks with a high degree of attention to detail

  • Excellent oral and written communication and influence skills, including managing conflict and building consensus

  • Ability to exercise independent judgment in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results

  • Team player, comfortable with fast-paced, changing environment and ambiguity

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

  • Agile Certified Practitioner

  • Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) or healthcare industry experience

Physical Demands

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, on-call, and shifts outside of Prime’s core business hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

  • Constantly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk and hear

  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms

  • Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouch

  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Potential pay for this position ranges from $66,000.00 - $106,000.00 based on experience and skills.
