Job Description:
At Regions, the Quality Assurance Automation Architect creates and maintains automation frameworks, tools, and practices to test the functionality of applications systems across various applications such as web, mobile, and mainframe.
Primary Responsibilities
Creates and maintains testing automation frameworks that enable rapid feedback, scalable execution, central reporting
Creates tools and components for improving testing automation speed and effectiveness
Provides testing automation guidance to select the proper framework, tools, setup and strategies
Matures and evolves test architecture through the evaluation and adoption of new automation tools, techniques, and practices
Researches and implements Artificial Intelligence (AI) including machine language (ML), robotics, and other advanced and emerging technologies to improve testing automation efficiency and analytics
Analyzes automation metrics and devises strategies to help teams in need
Influences team to implement good testing automation hygiene (e.g. short & focused tests, parallel execution)
Creates effective test data provisioning strategies, developing custom solutions
Directs technical initiatives to improve testing automation
Stays abreast of latest trends in Testing Automation industry, and recommends ways to improve efficiency, speed, and reduce cost through research and innovation
Guides, leads, and influences teams in developing technical understanding and skillset through knowledge sharing sessions
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED and nine (9) years of experience in test automation and/or software development
Or Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years of experience in test automation and/or software development
Preferences
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Management, Statistics, Math, or related field
Experience creating, executing, and maintaining industry standard test automation frameworks as well as planning, estimating, and reporting automation testing activities
Experience using API’s (e.g. SOAP/REST) to get/post the required information from/to other interfaces
Experience utilizing Power BI and Harness
Knowledge of continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous testing practices
Experience with various Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) such as C#, Visual Studio, Java, Eclipse, or IntelliJ
Experience with C# - NUnit – RestSharp, or Java – TestNG – RestAssured, Postman as well as Bamboo, GIT, Artifactory, JIRA, and Confluence
Experience creating relational database queries and analyzing data
Experience with Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies

Compensation Details
Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
The target information listed below is based on the national range and level of the position.
