Three years security or law enforcement experience\ Ability to effectively apply de-escalation techniques and diffuse conflict\ Possess good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with the public of all socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds\ Familiar and able to apply pertinent federal, state, and local laws to Topeka Metro operations\ Ability to exercise sound judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions\ Ability to thoroughly recall, describe, and document events accurately\ Fluent in English; bilingual in Spanish preferred\ Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time and work outdoors in all types of weather and temperature conditions\ Minimum age 21\ High school graduate or equivalent
