Job Description
Introduction: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Customer Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with Windows and cloud environments. The role involves deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows 10/11, optimizing Windows 365 Cloud PC, and ensuring security and compliance across various platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Windows & Cloud Environments:
Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot Windows 10/11.
Provision, optimize, license, and tune performance for Windows 365 Cloud PC.
Configure and troubleshoot Entra ID (Azure AD) Hybrid Join & Entra Join.
Manage update compliance and updates using Windows Update for Business (WUFB).
Configure and manage LAPS (Local Administrator Password Solution) & Windows LAPS, understanding their differences.
Handle KMS / MAK Licensing / Cloud-based licensing for W365 and traditional enterprise activation.
Virtual Desktop & Cloud Solutions:
Compare use cases and best practices for Windows 365 vs. Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
Optimize Cloud PC performance through networking and bandwidth tuning.
Security & Compliance:
Implement and monitor security policies using Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE).
Enforce security baselines using Conditional Access & Device Compliance (GPOs, Intune at a high level).
Manage encryption and authentication with BitLocker & Windows Hello for Business.
Apply security standards and baselines, including NIST 800-53 and Zero Trust principles.
Application Management & Deployment:
Deploy modern apps using Winget & MSIX Packaging.
Plan transitions for Microsoft Store for Business (MsFB) Private Store deprecation.
Identity & Authentication:
Configure and manage Entra AD (Azure AD) & Hybrid Join.
Secure endpoints with Single Sign-On (SSO) & Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
Ensure scoped access using Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
Networking & Connectivity:
Provide secure remote access using VPN & Always-On VPN.
Address latency, bandwidth, and connectivity considerations for Cloud PC networking.
Implement Wi-Fi authentication using 802.1X and certificate-based authentication.
Understand DNS, DHCP, and firewall basics for endpoint connectivity.
Monitoring & Troubleshooting:
Analyze Windows Event Logs, Perf Logs, and Defender Logs to diagnose issues.
Monitor performance using Task Manager, Resource Monitor, and Sysinternals tools.
Perform remote troubleshooting using Quick Assist and Remote Desktop.
Salary: between 110-137k gross/year $
