The Role
A Senior Lead Software Engineer is focused on improving the employee & customer experience through automation development and platform enablement. Provide technical direction in the creation, delivery, and integration of multiple and moderately complex software solutions. May translate business requirements into specific designs and/or participate in the design, evaluation, and selection of IT solutions for software for a specific business process. Establish the current and future use of the practice, metrics, and methodologies to determine current and future solutions. Explore and evaluate new and approved technologies. Consult on the application of existing and new, approved technologies to develop solutions. Ensure the process of creation and delivery of design and solution in accordance with the architectural direction.
Location
This is a remote opportunity open to candidates located anywhere in the U.S.
The Main Responsibilities
Develop and debug production-grade code, working with functional and technical support to develop and support enterprise automation projects, and collaborating with various function teams of analysts and solution engineers.
Capable of working independently, as well as with team members on different teams and in different locations.
Perform code reviews with other team members in a reviewer capacity.
Provide technical mentoring and guidance to less experienced SW Engineers.
Work closely with other engineering team members to ensure code deployments are fully automated and transparent.
Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting as needed to support production issues.
Responsible for regular release of coded solutions related to platform enablement and troubleshooting root causes to fix automation exceptions.
What We Look For in a Candidate
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field, Masters degree preferred.
8+ years of experience in enterprise development using Java or Javascript and have hands-on experience with different frameworks.
Scripting competency and experience with technologies such as Perl, Python, Bash, YAML, XML, XSL, SOAP, WSDL, Splunk, and PowerShell.
Strong technical acumen.
Ability to navigate multiple projects & priorities at the same time.
Compensation
This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
Location Based Pay Ranges:
$129,639 - $172,852 in these states: AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, WI, WV, and WY.
$136,121 - $181,494 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NC, NH, NV, OR, and RI.
$142,603 - $190,137 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.
