The Senior Nursing Educator plans, directs, coordinates, evaluates, develops, and/or delivers training and education programs for professional nursing personnel. The Senior Nursing Educator work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
The Senior Nursing Educator develops educational goals and plans for new associate orientation, ongoing training, and professional development. Training programs may include, but not be limited to, Care Management, Utilization Management, and/or Compliance. RN licensure is required at all levels. This role makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is often performed without direction. This role exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
Responsibilities:
Analyze and research policies, processes, and procedures in order to develop learning strategies and plans
Leverage data to drive educational priorities
Implement and deliver training programs using Adult Learning Theory
Observe and consult with frontline associates to meet their needs for the most useful format, method and content of documentation as well as identify gaps.
Update associates on changing processes and support proficiency development
Conduct evaluations to ensure program effectiveness, making modifications as necessary
Maintain functional proficiency in the content areas for which you are delivering instruction
Work on the curriculum teams as a subject matter expert and assist with development of assessments, activities, and participant materials
Collaborate with different business areas such Medical Directors, Compliance, Experience & Optimization and Auditing

Required Qualifications
Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on nursing education.
Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the state where you reside with no disciplinary action
5 years or more of clinical experience
2 years of experience educating nurses
Knowledge of adult learning theory
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Preferred Qualifications
- 3-5 years of learning, training and/or facilitation experience

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$86,300 - $118,700 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
