Curative Inc. Senior Security Engineer in Topeka, Kansas
The Information Security team moves fast, and you should be excited about interacting with a wide variety of stakeholders—you'll have a direct impact on how patients, doctors, and other care professionals all interface securely with Curative. Note: This role can be remote but the candidate must be able to travel onsite to Curative HQ as well as other Curative locations across the United States
What you'll do
Reporting to the Head Of Security Operations, this role will be to design, deploy and maintain all tooling that supports Security Operations.
The role will deliver deep SME on Vulnerability Management, EdR, SIEM, Logging and DLP, and will be a full member of the Security Operations Center - participating in Incident Response activities.
Deploy and tune our Detection and Response platforms to ensure appropriate visibility across the enterprise.
Identify, configure and incorporate all log sources into Detection Platforms
Engineer and maintain Security Orchestration Tools
Manage security configurations across enterprise tools and provide SME for secure configurations of IT systems, including network devices
Engineer, configure, tune and operate Endpoint Detection and Response (EdR) tools
Engineer, configure, tune and operate our Vulnerability Management tools
Keep current on information security risks and the Tactics Techniques and Procedures (TTP) of attackers.
Participate in Incident Response activities
Keep current on technology trends for Blue Team tools.
Experience with security logging and logging platforms such as Splunk and/or ELK
Experience with DataDog
Experience with AWS security tools such as Security Groups, WAF & Network Firewalls, Firewall Manager, AWS Shield, AWS inspector, Macie ECR vuln scanning, et al.
Experience with Vulnerability Scanners at host and application level.
Experience with MS365, Azure and Google Workspace (Gsuite) and the security facilities, dashboards and configurations therein.
Experience with Threat Intelligence processing tools like STIX, et al.
Experience with EdR tooling and Managed detection and response protocols.
Familiarity with foundational security technologies enough to select the right toolsets and technical controls.
Experience with Network security: switches, routers and firewalls - and how to configure these appropriately, manage rules and also configure and retrieve appropriate logs.
Experience with Containerized microservices and Kubernetes.
Ability to mentor and teach junior engineers and architects to grow capability in the team
Information security certification such as CISSP, GIAC or OSCP
Python or other scripting language.
SQL and/or other data manipulation skills
Understanding of Mitre ATT&CK
Experience collaborating with IT operations, product teams, SRE teams
Any other “security as code” experience
Coding experience, python preferred
DataScience capabilities, ability to write SQL queries or use Python Data manipulation and visualization tools.
Experience in the healthcare industry
