As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.
Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.

As part of our team, you will own developing features and enhancements for our product in the GL Accounting domain. We build solutions to help customers manage their accounting cycle, buy and sell in multiple currencies across the globe, recognize revenue and manage financial reporting. NetSuite ERP engineers do more than write code. We become specialists in our business domain and take the time to deeply understand our customers’ goals. We own the design of our product, bringing questions and ideas to the table and analyzing them.
This role is for someone who enjoys solving complex problems. Prior accounting knowledge is a plus but not necessary. We invest in training and coaching people on our teams to become experts in the domain. You will to be responsible for resolving challenging software architecture and design tasks within and outside of your team, mentor junior teammates, and actively participate in code reviews. We'd like you to be passionate about clean code as well as quality. Not only will you oversee the quality of the code and product, you will also produce exceptional code. If you want to work in an agile environment with continuous integration, pair programming and TDD practices, our team would be a phenomenal fit.

Engineering or computer science degrees with several years of software development experience that includes Java or any similar object-oriented programming language.
Intimate understanding of modern web applications and extensive experience with database-driven applications.
Enthusiastic about automated testing!
A strong understanding of, and/or experience with business software applications and a desire to continue growing this knowledge.
Great problem-solving skills and the ability to abstract functional requirements and strong communication abilities in both technical and non-technical contexts.
Confident in setting the architectural direction and high-level design within and outside of your team, as well as coaching and leading junior developers.
