Senior Testing Manager within the Professional Services organization for the Energy and Water Global Business Unit in North America, focused on providing software testing expertise and leadership for implementations of Oracle solutions including Customer to Meter, Customer Cloud Service, Billing Cloud Service, and Meter Solution Cloud Service. This resource will define the testing strategies and detailed testing plans for implementation projects and manage all activities related to testing Oracle Energy and Water products, client specific configuration and customizations, integrations, and client data. The resource should bring best practice in software testing with experience in leading testing activities for multi-million dollar implementation projects. This resource should have experience leading the preparation and execution of all testing phases including System Testing, System Integration Testing, Performance Testing, Regression Testing and User Acceptance Testing. The ability to plan and manage the activities of resources (both consultant and client) is a must. This includes training client resources brought in from positions within the business how to quickly become capable software testers. This role also involves defining strategies, plans, collateral that can be re-used on future implementation projects.
Responsibilities
Define the test strategy and approach for Oracle Energy and Water consulting engagements and be ultimately responsible for the quality of the solution being implemented
Provide leadership, through expertise and best practice, throughout the testing life cycle
Coach testing resources in best practices of software testing
How to write a test case based on the input (business requirements/ functional specification) and focused on expected results
How to ensure completeness of testing while minimizing redundancy
How to execute test cases and log results
How to write informative defects to clearly communicate problems to the team responsible for fixing them
Develop testing plans and resource schedules for each phase in the software testing life cycle taking into account all factors impacting the success and completeness of the testing phase
Define needs and dependencies for each testing phase: resource, environment, data, code, etc
Lead efforts to develop and document testing scenarios to ensure completeness and traceability
Manage test execution and provide visibility to project management and project sponsors through meaningful metrics and dashboards
Provide thought leadership to keep the testing team productive when unforeseen downtime occurs
Recommend and lead test automation efforts where appropriate
Preferred qualifications include:
Proven track record of leading testing activities for CIS implementations in the utilities industry (electric, gas, water).
Experience leading all phases of software testing for consulting engagements
Expertise in Software Testing tools such as HP Application Lifecycle Management and Oracle Application Testing Suite
Strong communication skills
Ability to provide thought leadership and stability to the team when things don’t go as planned
10+ years overall relevant experience including at least five (5) years in consulting
Ability to travel to client locations weekly
This position requires an average of 50% travel to client locations

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated location(s)
California Pay Range: from $134,900 to $270,000 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Colorado Pay Range: from $127,400 to $243,000 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
New York City Pay Range: from $127,400 to $256,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Washington Pay Range: from $142,400 to $256,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience and market conditions, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
