How will you make an impact?

The Specialist will join a team of 8+ US based Territory Specialists (TS) who are among the most technical and experienced Field Service Engineers (FSE) that deliver world class service and support with a relentless focus on customer success. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, North America Territory Specialist Leader, this position will contribute to the overall growth of the Global Services & Support (GSS) business across North America and Latin America. The scope of this role includes supporting the regional strategy and business priorities while working within a highly matrixed organization to foster robust communication and collaboration among key internal and external stakeholders to drive accountability and contribute toward regional KPIs and annual operating plan objectives.

What will you do?

  • Manage service escalations to quickly resolve issues and maintain customer satisfaction

  • Assist service development team, NPI core team, drive FPRs and KPI metrics

  • Assist training department in developing class content and implementation of classes

  • Mentor RS and engineers on new product lines

  • Travel as needed to support escalations, development, and mentoring activities

  • Knowledge Base Administrator- keep technical documents organized an up to date

  • Provide remote technical support to Field teams and internal customers

  • Manages field technical support networks (Expert networks)

  • Manages TS/RS/FSE communication pathways

  • Partner with global specialist teams, around development and deployment of new products and services, including digital tools to enhance the customer experience.

  • May be required to perform other related duties as required and/or assigned

How will you get here?

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree with science or engineering major, or equivalent experience plus strong technical/scientific aptitude.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Position may require Covid-19 vaccination and/or routine testing, per client discretion

  • Requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant instrument experience in field service engineering

  • Must have experience with Thermo Fisher instruments, the TS role will focus on Automation and other new platforms requiring TS support
