Intel SoC Physical Design Engineer in Topeka, Kansas

Job Description

At Intel, Design Enablement (DE) is one of the key pillars enabling Intel to deliver winning products in the marketplace. Your will directly drive and work with DE cross teams to enable Intel's technology leadership on automotive platform and product. You will work with automotive customers to outline critical requirements, collaborate with Intel internal partners to define the scope, plan execution, and innovate competitive solutions to meet customer needs.

You will bring and leverage your automotive ASIC/Custom/Analog physical design experience to Intel to analyze the gaps between Intel technologies and automotive-specific needs. You will drive design methodology for automotive applications and lead automotive customer support. Consistently working with customers to clarify the spec, outline critical needs, and work with DE teams to plan and develop design solutions or methodologies for automotive customers.

To meet industry automotive standard like AEC-Q100, ISO26262, etc, you will be the driver across DE teams for automotive standard spec/criteria in the following areas but not limit to: foundation IP std cell, SRAM, or PDKs in terms of automotive-specific DRC rules, Electromigration rules, Aging modeling, or Automotive ASIC chip implementation, and signoff criteria.

As a DEAS (Design Enablement Application and Support) key member, you will need to have good communication skills to interact with customers directly, apply analytical problem-solving capability to identify the key requests, root-causing the issue, and do teamwork with DE stakeholders to support and enable customers successfully.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidate must possess a BS degree with 4+ years of experience or MS degree with 3+ years of experience or a PhD degree with 1+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or related fields.

1+ years of industry experiences focus on the following:

  • Automotive ASIC/Custom/Analog physical design experience or foundry service provider for automotive applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

1+ years of experience in the following:

  • In-depth knowledge of automotive ASIC/hardware specific requirements.

  • In-depth knowledge of automotive ASIC/hardware design methodologies.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $139,480.00-$209,760.00

*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
