Job Description
As a Senior Software Engineering Manager, you will be a part of multiple teams that own full ownership of a mission-critical services powering OCI cloud. You will define, design, develop, and run tier-0 services. You should be able to understand broad systems interactions, be hands-on, be able to dive deep into any part of the technical stack, and have a good sense of cloud infrastructure, networking and database knowledge. You should value simplicity and impact, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn.
The ideal candidate will be both technically strong and excellent in people management. You understand operational excellence and know-how to infuse a culture of being proactive within your team. You have the ability to recommend and justify changes to new and suggest improvements in existing products and establish consensus with data-driven approaches.

Responsibilities
Lead a strong Engineering team who are responsible for developing and maintaining tier-0 services; quickly build features, detect, debug, and mitigate any production issues
Partner with remote, geographically distributed teams and customers effectively and efficiently
Be very technically hands-on and own/drive key engineering initiatives and improvements
Help drive design and build distributed, scalable, highly available and fault-tolerant software systems
Participate in the entire software lifecycle – development, testing, CI and production operations
Leverage a plethora of internal tooling at OCI to develop, build, deploy and troubleshoot software
Participate in on-call for the service with the team and drive operational success of the cloud service we build
Work closely with senior management and architects
Build a high performing team by hiring and nurturing top talent
Decisive and data driven to ensure uptime of the service

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $107,100 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
