We’re currently hiring for an on-call UX Architect to support federal and commercial clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research via competitive/comparative analysis, heuristic reviews, user interviews, or other research techniques appropriate for the project

  • Assist facilitation or organization of workshops with users, stakeholders or internal team members, such as design studios or brainstorming sessions

  • Build documentation as appropriate for the project to help colleagues understand or build upon the design. Examples may be storyboards, wireframes, mockups, or similar artifacts

  • Be confident in working independently as a designer, and collaboratively as part of a larger project team

  • Be comfortable sharing ideas, concepts, and designs with clients and/or other team members

  • Create documentation of your designs and assist developers in implementing your designs

  • Assist or facilitate usability testing with designs and incorporate feedback into new iterations of the design

  • Use your creativity to help find solutions for the unique problems the user or customer may have

  • Be eager to learn from your colleagues and be an active contributor to the team’s collective knowledge

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree + 2 years of work experience, Associate's degree +4 years of experience, or at least 6 years of experience

  • Familiar with Agile project management

  • Ability to collaborate with team members across multiple projects

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with a focus on attention to detail to facilitate smooth handoffs to developers

  • Talent for anticipating obstacles and risk in projects and proactively seeking solutions to mitigate them

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a UX design or similar role

  • Experience working with federal customers

  • Demonstrated resiliency and experience in client-facing roles requiring tactful communications in fast-moving environments

  • A self-starter who is comfortable with a variety of UX skills, and perhaps considered a generalist in the field

Candidates must be willing to complete the e-QIP and undergo a standard federal government background check for this role. Employment is contingent on fitness for the position.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final salary for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
