Your Key Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll work on a dynamic mix of projects helping our clients solve some of their most pressing issues. Working in diverse, inclusive teams to build relationships with our clients, you’ll deliver innovative high-quality work products. As a wavespace Experience Manager, you will oversee the development and execution of the customer experience and/or digital vision and management of client service delivery.
A wavespace Experience Manager understands what excellent design looks like, how to articulate a client’s vision and the roadmap to get there (captured in exam questions) and has experience in consulting. They are ultimately responsible for:
Day-to-day client relationship and wavespace team direction end-to-end delivery of wavespace experience(s).
Identifying the right staff mix for any given experience
Developing and maintaining financials across the entire experience timeline
Has mastery of all the domains of collaborative work, Design Thinking, knowledge management, and other underlying models that make up the wavespace approach. These individuals frequently lead the experience from the “front of the room” as facilitator.
Skills and attributes for success
To qualify for the role, you must have:
Ability to act as an advocate and leader in the strategic design process of projects, owning the overall Customer Experience / Digital Strategy and execution. Lead the development of customer personas, journey maps, and roadmaps as part of the overall future state vision.
Knowledge of design thinking techniques and the ability to solve complex business problems with simple, industry-leading experience and design solutions.
Ability to provide strategic direction, working with engagement team to manage client expectations in line with the overall digital and customer experience vision.
Experience translating business requirements and goals, end user needs and inputs from cross-functional teams into differentiated design solutions.
Demonstrated in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge of digital media.
Ability to foster an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment. You’ll play an active role in counselling and mentoring junior level consultants within the organization by providing structured and on-the-job feedback.
A valid passport and US driver’s license; willingness and ability to travel estimated 80% both domestically and internationally.
Ideally, you’ll also have
Bachelors Degree with 5+ years of work experience in Customer or User Experience Strategy / Research, Business Strategy, Product Design, or Design Planning. Past experience in consulting, CX Practice in a Fortune 500 firm, or agency in a media management or digital creative experience in a client facing role.
Cross-functional experience working with both internal and 3 rd party development teams and project management experience working with both creative agencies, brands or in a consulting capacity. Experience interfacing with clients and Rich Media Vendors.
Experience that spans across UX, business, operations, web engineering, and design. That is, you should feel comfortable talking to other business stakeholders, UX and visual designers as well as technologists and developers.
An entrepreneurial spirit who is excited by ambiguity, operates autonomously and is able to make informed decisions on the fly, grounded in a CX point of view.
Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Axure, InVision, Keynote, OmniGraffle, Sketch or other design technologies.
People management experience with both project teams and individual direct reports.
