Oracle Energy and Water’s Asset Technology (AT) Solution Delivery is looking for a Functional Architect to implement the Oracle Work and Asset Management (WAM) and Oracle Work and Asset Cloud Services (WACS) applications. Public utility and previous asset management experience are required.

Job Description

In this role, the Oracle WACS Functional Architect will be working to understand customer goals, requirements, expectations, challenges, situations, and data for configuring or developing business and technical solutions in the Cloud. You will advise the Project Manager and other stakeholders from time to time on implementation aspects of the project. As a WACS Functional Architect, you will be responsible for the overall delivery quality on the project by ensuring team’s adherence to standard practices and procedures. The WACS Functional Architect will build an understanding of and leverage Oracle methodologies, tools, and leading practices.

This is a challenging, exciting role that will test your consulting skills, strategic thinking, leadership skills, technical skills, and your ability to remain focused and follow-through on plans.

Responsibilities

  • Provide consistent high quality & innovative solution leadership on WACS Cloud engagements by interacting with customers and other stakeholders to arrive at optimal solutions. Industries include Gas, Electric, Water, and Public Works.

  • Analyze and understand client goals, challenges & areas of opportunity to align Oracle’s Cloud applications for building optimal functional & technical solutions based on Industry Best Practices. Ability to do Fit-to-Standard and Gap Analysis of legacy software applications to implement WAM / WACS applications.

  • Develop and deliver high quality presentations and demonstrations, present and articulate product features, and benefits, and configure and test overall Oracle Cloud solutions that satisfy customer requirements.

  • Effectively utilize the Oracle WACS Cloud platform along with other Oracle Integration and web technologies to deliver world class solutions.

  • Collaborate with Sales Teams to support business development efforts in pursuing new opportunities and extensions.

  • Arrive at coherent conclusions by undertaking complex analysis, application of reason, and trace performance implications through complex data and scenarios.

  • Prepare documentation detailing delivered solutions, integration & migration strategies throughout the engagement.

  • Adhere to all Oracle Cloud security policies, standards, and procedures in the performance of job responsibilities.

  • Mentor junior consultants in delivery and ensure the solution approach is in-line with the best practices and future product roadmap.

  • Ability to formulate a broader perspective of an issue by recognizing the inter-dependencies and inter-play between customer applications.

  • Promote knowledge by sharing lessons learned, innovations or new skills with team members.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments. Ability to work in teams to support projects and other practice development tasks.

  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and analytical skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.

  • Excellent customer facing and interpersonal skills with ability to build rapport with all stakeholders.

  • Ability to travel and support customers across various time-zones.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science (BCA /MCA / BSc Comp) or a technical field from a reputed 4-year college/university.

  • 5+ years’ experience with asset management software within the utility industry.

  • Strong technology-based functional skills in proposing and designing optimal solutions as well as including ownership of the overall solution.

  • Experience working with or as a part of Service Delivery teams and solutions including incident management, service requests, call centers and self-service.

  • Facilitate requirement gathering sessions.

  • This role is remote based and can require up to 50% travel contingent on customer needs

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated location(s)

California Pay Range: from $107,400 to $214,900 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Colorado Pay Range: from $101,400 to $193,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

New York City Pay Range: from $93,500 to $204,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Washington Pay Range: from $113,400 to $204,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience and market conditions, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
