Job Title: Bench Mechanic
Job Description
As a Bench Mechanic, you will perform accessory repair and overhaul, including cleaning, tearing down, inspecting, and rebuilding using appropriate tooling as required by maintenance manuals, drawings, service bulletins, and work instructions to ensure airworthiness.
Responsibilities
Perform disassembly and cleaning of units
Carry out minor repair operations such as flushing, grit blasting, and vapor degreasing using basic machining equipment
Conduct initial planning on SRO according to customer specifications, OEM manual requirements, service bulletins, DER repairs, and other applicable work instructions
Maintain a minimum 80% billable percentage
Monitor material shelf-life; collect and properly dispose of out-of-date material
Maintain a safe and audit-ready work area
Perform other duties as assigned
Essential Skills
Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office basics
Ability to learn industry-related software
Skill in reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Proficiency in reading and interpreting basic inspection tools such as I.D., O.D., “C”, depth micrometers, and calipers
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Must be able to obtain respiratory certification and wear a face respirator
Must possess the necessary hand tools to perform position responsibilities
Ability to obtain a Mechanic stamp

Warehouse/Manufacturing environment. The role involves working with various hand tools, such as wrenches, and performing tasks like disassembling, cleaning, inspecting, re-assembling, and testing all products and components.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wellington, Kansas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.30 - $25.00
