Job Summary
Responsible for inspecting machined components to identify potential areas of concern to ensure compliance with customer engineering and contract specifications.

Job Responsibilities
CMM Operation
CMM Programming (PC-DMIS)
Read blue prints, work orders, special instructions and other support documentation to perform inspections.
Inspect and verify parts received from subcontractors, processing, and internal production parts.
Perform conductivity and hardness testing
Use precision measuring equipment (such as micrometers and calipers)
Prepare and submit documentation of discrepant parts and follows up with customer to disposition of product.
Buy off on orders.
Regularly interact with internal engineering, supply chain and contracts personnel.
Operate coordinate measuring machine (CMM) to inspect parts (preferred)
Operate Laser Radar and other electronic measuring systems (preferred)
Perform other inspection activities as assigned
Note: Attention to detail is critical in this position. A successful candidate should be able to point to experience or other evidence of proficiency in this area.
Job Qualifications
High School or completion of GED
Two year technical degree or equivalent experience
Plus, at least three years of inspection experience.
Ability to read blueprints
Proficiency in the use dimensional inspection tools, including micrometer gauges
At least two years of prior experience with coordinate measuring machine (CMM) and use of PCDMIS
Experience with Enovia or CATIA to interrogate models
Desired
Ability to inspect complex aircraft metal components, such as bulkheads.
Ability to create and complete AS9102 Inspection Report (First Article Inspection Report)
Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Excel and Powerpoint
