2025 Entry Level - Interior Certification Engineer
Description
JOB SUMMARY:
To provide technical input, certification guidance, and scheduling in support of the certification of Interiors projects.This position presents the opportunity to develop a strong background in certification for those interested in possibly becoming Unit Members.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide key technical assistance in compiling technical information and documents in support of Interior certification projects utilizing standard procedures and practices.
Initiate and drive collaborative technical discussions with design teams and ODA Unit Members in order to determine certification requirements and necessary documentation for each project.
Author test plans, results reports, compliance reports and certification plans
Develop and present Type Board Presentations to internal certification staff as well as regulatory authorities.
Develop and maintain schedule to guide completion of required documents in a timeframe that supports project certification schedules.
Analyze current processes and procedures to identify and implement changes to standardize and streamline the creation of certification documents.
Must be willing to take ownership of tasks to ensure they are completed on time and with a high degree of accuracy.
Requires frequent contact with ODA and design engineering personnel to obtain and furnish information.
Performs other related duties as required.
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree in:
Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Engineering Management, orrelated Engineering field.
Requires broad training in engineering related or technical principles, data and computer technology.
Certification experience is preferred but not required.
Engineering experience or relative aviation technical experience preferred.
Less than 2 years of professional experience in a relevant role
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Technical Writing Proficiency.
Time management skills are required to work multiple concurrent projects of various size and scope.
Proficient in use of standard Microsoft Office and Adobe programs
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (both verbal and written).
