2025 Entry Level - Interior Certification Engineer

JOB SUMMARY:

To provide technical input, certification guidance, and scheduling in support of the certification of Interiors projects.This position presents the opportunity to develop a strong background in certification for those interested in possibly becoming Unit Members.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide key technical assistance in compiling technical information and documents in support of Interior certification projects utilizing standard procedures and practices.

  • Initiate and drive collaborative technical discussions with design teams and ODA Unit Members in order to determine certification requirements and necessary documentation for each project.

  • Author test plans, results reports, compliance reports and certification plans

  • Develop and present Type Board Presentations to internal certification staff as well as regulatory authorities.

  • Develop and maintain schedule to guide completion of required documents in a timeframe that supports project certification schedules.

  • Analyze current processes and procedures to identify and implement changes to standardize and streamline the creation of certification documents.

  • Must be willing to take ownership of tasks to ensure they are completed on time and with a high degree of accuracy.

  • Requires frequent contact with ODA and design engineering personnel to obtain and furnish information.

  • Performs other related duties as required.

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s Degree in:

  • Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Engineering Management, orrelated Engineering field.

  • Requires broad training in engineering related or technical principles, data and computer technology.

  • Certification experience is preferred but not required.

  • Engineering experience or relative aviation technical experience preferred.

  • Less than 2 years of professional experience in a relevant role

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Technical Writing Proficiency.

  • Time management skills are required to work multiple concurrent projects of various size and scope.

  • Proficient in use of standard Microsoft Office and Adobe programs

  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (both verbal and written).
