Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Flight begins with you at Spirit AeroSystems, a place where you can explore your interests and grow your career by working on impactful projects.

Here are some examples of what you can expect as an Information Technology Intern:

  • Have a well-defined project with clear deliverables that will develop your knowledge and skills in analytic and predictive analysis, IT governance processes, functional analysis, or software feature development.

  • Gain Hands on Experience with

  • Leadership development.

  • Application development and support - SAP, Tableau, C++, .NET, Java, JavaScript, Web Services, HTML, MS PowerApps, MS Power BI, SQL and Oracle databases.

  • Enterprise Network & System Environments like Cisco/Aruba, Cisco Nexus Data Center switches, Ivanti, and Microsoft Suite.

  • Project Management.

  • Regulatory & Audit Compliance – SOX, Department of Defense, NIST, JSIG, CMMC.

  • Engage with IT service providers, managing scope of deliveries or sourcing projects.

  • Be assigned a mentor yet have the autonomy to develop your innovative solution.

  • Opportunity to receive a Six Sigma Green Belt certification.

  • Network with executive leaders across the company.

  • Develop your critical thinking, statistics, interpersonal, presentation, project management and teamwork skills.

  • Connect with subject matter experts, mentors, and decision makers.

    Also, should you be selected as a 2025 Spirit AeroSystems Summer Intern, you will have exposure to several activities including:

  • Multiple Manufacturing Plant Tours of Iconic aircraft

  • Project Expo (An opportunity to present an intern project for Executive Leaders)

  • Social/Networking Events

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • You must be a US Person (US Citizen or US Permanent Resident)

  • You must be enrolled full time in a university degree program aligned to the area of internship.

  • You must be a current sophomore, junior, senior or graduate student in good academic standing.
