Using your experience, you will perform duties to set up and operate a number of different computerized numerical controlled machine tools to perform a wide range of turning, drilling and tapping operations on various complex component parts of mechanical shaft seals in a work cell environment in a production mode

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Machinist will be responsible for set-up and operations of special purpose equipment, and numeric control machines and machining centers for fabrication parts that hold to the high-quality machine standards required within company.

Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations and setup requirements.

Starts and observes machine operation to direct malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls as required.

Responsible for the selection, alignment, and securing of holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills and lathes.

Ensure product quality and conformance to engineering specification. Monitor 1st part run at every operation and obtain first part buy off by inspection

Deburr parts as needed

Complete necessary paperwork accurately and efficiently using ERP system.
