The IMA Financial Group, Inc. Account Manager (Employee Benefits) in Wichita, Kansas
Client service
Maintain regular, professional contact to create and foster relationship with client representatives
Research and resolve issues and requests in a timely manner – including issues that require direct interactions
Answer questions related to benefits program
Conduct reviews and work to provide guidance on compliance related matters
Client meetings
Assist in and prepare materials and collateral for meetings and discussions
Actively participate in discussions
Record and report meeting discussion and action items
Carrier and vendor management
Assists new vendor/carrier implementations
Review carrier, vendor, and plan documents and contracts
Maintain regular contact with carrier and vendor representatives to ensure client advocacy and that issues are being resolved in a timely manner
Communication and education
Work with client to develop short and long-term employee communication objectives
Create member facing collateral pieces to promote and clarify benefit program features
Assist with in person, virtual, and telephonic sessions to provide information and plan details to participants
Use regular interactions to update clients on carrier and vendor partner features and services
Internal partnerships
Actively participate and contribute to client service team operations
Effectively communicate client updates to appropriate team members
Assist with other team duties as needed – i.e., position vacancy, cover personal time off, etc.
Must be able to attain and maintain state life and health license in accordance with IMA standards
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent job experience
2 or more years of relevant experience
Intermediate MS office skills (specifically PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel)
Ability to learn and work in agency/client management systems and other related software and technology platforms
Ability to work independently
Intermediate interpersonal communication skills – written and oral – with the ability to articulate ideas and information in a clear and concise manner
Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving
Ability to present information in a group setting (in person and virtually)
Intermediate organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple projects with variable deadlines
Possess high degree of diplomacy and tact while maintaining confidentially
