JOB SUMMARY:
Accountant position utilizes experience and knowledge to perform general accounting activities, such as preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, analyzing and reporting monthly results, and performing intercompany and consolidation activities and more.This position will provide challenging opportunities for an individual seeking accounting experience in many facets of Textron Aviation accounting.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform accounting for international subsidiaries and branches by supporting international accounting teams, providing guidance, and application of accounting principles in day to day transactions.
Perform intercompany and consolidation processes for month end closing.
Additional month end closing journal entries, reporting, and reconciliations as required.
Review and analyze, as directed, operating procedures and controls to ensure they are consistent with the business processes and operating effectively.
Provide financial data and related information in support of external and internal audit activities.
Work cross functionally with various functions across the business to ensure proper accounting transactions are being recorded.
Provide general support to other accounting, finance, and intercompany trading partner team members as required.
Assist in maintaining Finance and Accounting documents, records and reports to ensure compliance with the Records Retention Policy and to ensure adequate support of the reports and documents provided is maintained.
Maintain and develop personal, professional, financial and general business skills through professional education. Remain aware of current accounting and industry developments and trends.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Minimum of 2 years professional accounting experience
QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong written and verbal communication
Strong analytical skills
Attention to detail, goal oriented
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple time sensitive responsibilities
Highly motivated
Ability to work in team environment
SAP skills a plus
