Responsibilities and Expectations
1.Equity Bank Real Estate Collateral Process
Understand and follow the real estate appraisal and evaluation regulations as defined by the Interagency Appraisal and Evaluation Guidelines and FAQ SR05-5.
Assign appraisal reviews and real estate collateral evaluations
Balance the Appraisal Shield pass-through GL account monthly
Complete compliance appraisal reviews as needed
Complete real estate collateral evaluations per regulatory guidelines
2.Internal and External Communication
Communicate appraisal and internal evaluation guidelines throughout the bank to lending staff.
Assist in the effective communication of regulatory guidelines and internal bank policies surrounding appraisals and internal evaluations.
Facilitate correspondence with appraisers when necessary
3.Real Estate Collateral Process Training
Assist Loan Officers and Loan Assistants with the appraisal ordering process
Create and update procedure guidelines for training and internal bank reference.
4.Customer relationships.
Utilize written and oral communication skills to relay and acquire information to and from both internal and external customers
Develop and maintain a positive professional image for Equity Bank
Create a friendly, customer service image to internal and external customers
5.Understand and follow the applicable laws and regulations for job responsibilities including but not limited to Equity Bank Business Ethic and Conduct policy, Bank Secrecy Act, Information security, and Suspicious Activity reporting requirements.
6.Other Duties and Tasks as assigned or required.

- Bachelors degree preferred.
- 3-5 years banking experience or relevant experience required
- Excellent interpersonal skills and professional manner
- Computer skills, especially the ability to work in Windows based systems
