POSITION PURPOSE
David Lies Plumbing, Inc. is seeking a Plumbers Apprentice to perform installations and repairs to residential and commercial plumbing systems. The successful applicant will have excellent Customer Service skills with the focus on building long-term relationships, excellent time management, sharp attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions. Reliable candidates will have opportunities for growth, if desired, and competitive pay. Must have work authorization, pass a drug screen, and have a valid drivers license with a clean driving record for operating company vehicles. Essential Functions
- Assists plumber with various installations and repairs on plumbing system parts, fixtures, drainage systems, and other infrastructures for residential and commercial properties.
- Anticipates supporting tasks such as: disassembling and clearing away old plumbing fixtures, assembling and preparing new fixtures, using appropriate hand tools, and watching for safety issues.
- Assists and helps maintain cleanliness of Company vehicle and shop.
- Follows plumbers instructions to stage, load and unload assigned Company vehicle for job assignments, including all hardware, pipe, tools, and plumbing assemblies or fixtures. Restock shop as needed.
- Observe and listen to plumbers instructions to gain knowledge of building and plumbing codes.
- Practices safe working habits and techniques according to Company protocol and training.
- Keeps accurate written records of time worked, work performed, materials used, and customer information to report daily.
- Performs other work-related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience (Required)
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years working experience in plumbing, facilities maintenance, or equivalent trade school.
- Valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record.
Working Conditions
Works both inside and outside, subject to extreme temperatures. Worker may frequently be in close quarters, crawl spaces, shafts, small enclosed rooms with small sewage and line pipes; may work in narrow aisles or passageways. Subject to atmospheric hazards, such as fumes, odors, dust, gases, and poor ventilation. May occasionally be required to work some evenings and weekends.

- Hearing: Continuously. Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive general and ordinary information.
- Visual Abilities: Continuously. Average visual acuity essential to prepare or inspect documents or products, or operate machinery.
- Repetitive Motion: Frequently. Substantial and regular movements or otion required using the wrists, hands, and fingers, including Finger Dexterity to flex and extend fingers for fine and precise manipulation of small items.
- Physical Strength: Medium Work. Exerting, lifting and/or moving up to 50 lbs., occasionally; and/or up to 35 lbs., frequently; and/or up to 20 lbs. continuously.
- Other Physical Requirements: Occasional Sitting; crawling; and manipulating. Frequently Balancing; lifting; carrying; grasping; and climbing. Continually - Walking; standing; bending; reaching; kneeling; stooping; squatting; and trunk twisting.
