GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITIONAssemble aircraft parts using pneumatic hand tools , miscellaneous fasteners, sealants, adhesives, and paintsWORK EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION PRE-REQUISITES1. Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, office procedures and terminology2. 5 years general assembly experience or certification from an accredited organization in the area of responsibility and 3 years experience. - Preferred


+ Work all day in a manufacturing environment. Work on their feet much of the day near manufacturing equipment.

+ Accommodation required to read computer screens and documents

+ Prolonged sitting and/or standing

+ Required to push, pull, reach overhead, climb stairs, bend and exert up to 50 pounds of force

+ Required to wear protective safety equipment such as safety glasses, gloves and NIOSH face mask


POSITION1. Accurate clocking of jobs.2. Responsible for the total quality of work performed.3. Complete work according to the established schedule.4. Operate equipment or hand tools in accordance to our established safety policies and procedures.5. Implement continuous improvements in work areas (6s).6. Deliver defect free products and meet cycle time set for department.7. Meet established throughput objectives for the area while helping to maintain and reduce operating costs8. + Must possess strong decision making skills based on analytical and technical experience.

+ Detects malfunctions in assembly process such as damaged components or out of date/tolerance adhesives or fasteners

+ Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and inspection equipment.

+ Able to read precision instruments such as micrometers and calipers

+ The ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a tool to exact positions.

+ The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. Take action to solve it where prudent and notify Supervisor.

+ Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.

+ Knowledge of principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of product.

+ Must possess knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, and preventative maintenance.

+ Must demonstrate knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry and their applications.

+ Must have knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of goods.

+ Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in assembly.
