Job Title: Assembly Technician
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Assembly Technician in the military or aerospace industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of complex metallic or composite assemblies, excellent communication skills, and the ability to follow detailed work instructions. This role requires good eye-hand coordination, proficiency with common hand and power tools, and the ability to read and interpret simple drawings and sketches.
Responsibilities
Perform assembly tasks involving complex metallic or composite assemblies.
Follow work instructions and be accountable for work performed.
Utilize basic inspection gauges to ensure quality.
Use common hand and power tools effectively.
Fit check and assemble detail parts.
Identify and properly install fasteners and sealants.
Perform any other incidental duties as may be needed.
Essential Skills
Good oral and written communication skills.
Good eye-hand coordination.
Ability to read and interpret documents in English.
Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
Ability to work in an unfatigued state.
Strong math skills for understanding complex instructions.
Attention to detail.
Technical aptitude to comprehend complex technical topics and specialized information.
Self-motivated with the ability to be internally inspired to perform tasks to the best of one's ability.
Ability to work as part of a team and build consensus towards a goal.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
At least 1 year of aircraft assembly experience (drilling, bucking, and shooting rivets).
Experience in honing, detail machining, blueprint reading, and aircraft assembly methods.
Experience with small parts assembly, including countersinking rivets, squeezing rivets, installing bushings, and installing bearings.

This is a Contract position based out of Wichita, Kansas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00
