Let’s talk about this exciting opportunity!Job Summary:The Assistant Director, Industry & Workforce Collaboration is responsible for supporting the growth, development and maintenance of industry engagement and applied learning opportunities within the Shocker Career Accelerator. The role reports to the Director, Industry & Workforce Collaboration. The Assistant Director works directly with members of the Industry & Workforce Collaboration work group, representatives from business and industry and colleagues of Shocker Career Accelerator (SCA). They serve as the communication bridge between industry requests and WSU Tech academic faculty and leadership team members. Quick Glance of Duties and Responsibilities:


+ Provides administrative/communication support for all operational aspects of Shocker Career Accelerator projects and process deliverables.


+ Communicates effectively with our academic team members to ensure they are aware of industry engagement best practices.


+ Provides excellent “Disney” customer service to students, industry representatives and colleagues.


+ Presents solutions to industry, showcasing the opportunities available to them to collaborate with SCA.


+ Prepares required documents/paperwork and track required metrics, as needed.


+ Tracks all necessary data and outcomes related to assigned projects.


+ Supports the growth and development of applied learning opportunities and procedures at the college.


+ Industry engagement, solicit and develop strong employer partnerships.


+ Creation of marketing materials, newsletters and other items as needed to communicate with industry.


+ Responsible for being knowledgeable and utilizing all software platforms adopted including Handshake.


Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills Needed:


+ BS/BA required; master’s degree preferred.


+ Proven experience as a project coordinator or relevant position.


+ Process improvement and management experience previously.


+ Tech savvy, advanced user skills are required with MS Word, MS Outlook, and MS Excel.


+ A demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a professional working relationship with a wide variety of individuals coming from diverse backgrounds.


+ Ability to communicate effectively, prioritize work flow, work well with minimum supervision, and accept responsibility for total task completion.


+ Effective time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a timely manner, and the ability to prudently prioritize tasks, projects and goals.


+ Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.


+ Ability to work under pressure and meet deadl ines.


+ Exceptional customer service skills.
