The Courtyard Old Town Wichita is seeking an experienced hotel Assistant General Manager to support a very high performing team at this busy and highly rated property. In this role, the Assistant General Manager creates and maintains a customer-driven hotel with a member-keeping vision that inspires the associates to do their best. Oversee the quality process to ensure customer satisfaction by consistent delivery of both product quality and service in accordance with hotel's profitability goals.

Role Overview:

As the hotel Assistant General Manager, you will be the heartbeat of our hotel, orchestrating the seamless operation of all departments including Front Desk, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and F&B. Your leadership will ensure unparalleled comfort, service, and quality for our guests.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Foster a high-standard environment of comfort, service, and quality for guests.

  • Boost guest satisfaction by actively supporting all departments.

  • Promote teamwork and enhance interdepartmental cooperation.

  • Maintain accurate payroll and employee records; conduct timely and fair performance reviews.

  • Ensure strict adherence to banking procedures for timely collections.

  • Manage Accounts Receivable, City Ledger, and Guest Ledger efficiently.

  • Provide comprehensive training to all staff members.

  • Serve as Manager on Duty as designated by the General Manager.

  • Drive positive financial performance through cost control and P&L analysis.

  • Engage in active revenue management strategies.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Minimum of 3 years Assistant General Manager and/or Director of Operations is required.

  • Marriott experience is required.

  • Proficiency in reporting and hotel accounting procedures is required.

  • Exceptional verbal, comprehension, listening, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and time management abilities.

  • Adaptability to various situations.

  • Outstanding guest relation capabilities.
