Job Responsibilities:
The Department of Human Performance Studies in the College of Applied Studies at Wichita State University provides an opportunity for hands-on, applied learning and research experience for every student. Within and beyond the classroom and high-tech laboratories, our urban setting creates opportunities for our students and faculty to engage and collaborate with industry professionals, and promotes a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment. The Human Performance Studies Department is seeking a candidate to fill a nine-month, full-time, tenure track exercise science faculty position to teach undergraduate courses required in human performance studies as well as graduate courses in exercise science (e.g., kinesiology, anatomy & physiology, research methods, statistics, and courses related to area of expertise), establish a collaborative and sustainable research agenda, and provide service to the university, college, department, community, and profession.*\ *
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Skill in the use of emerging educational and human performance laboratory technologies.
- Evidence of excellent written and oral communication skills
- Evidence of promoting and supporting diversity ad social justice.
- Willingness to accommodate a variety of learning styles and strategies in instructional delivery and learning activities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other faculty and professionals.
- Ability to work collaboratively on curricular, laboratory, and industry projects with other faculty, professionals, industry partners, and students.
