The Department of History at Wichita State University invites applicants for a tenure-track position as Geography Program Director, with a focus on human environmental interactions from a human geography perspective, to be hired at the assistant professor level, with astart date of Aug. 4, 2025.The selected candidate will have a 3/3 teaching load and will teach World Geography, Human Geography, and Regional Geographies (Asia, Latin America, Europe) as part of the general education curriculum and certificate programs and will network with other faculty usingGISas part of theGIScertificate program. Additional courses can be created based on ones area of specialization. Other responsibilities include recruiting and advising geography minors and providing service to the department, college, and university. The selected candidate will also initiate and maintain an active research agenda.
