Job Title: Factory Specialist

Job Description

As a Factory Specialist, you will troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. You will collaborate with Engineering to implement new procedures and processes, ensuring the production of high-quality products.

Responsibilities

  • Support Lean, Six Sigma, and Best Business Practices projects, including investigation, buy-in, and roll-out across the division.

  • Collaborate with Quality Control and manufacturing personnel to ensure processes and equipment meet or exceed Quality Control and Engineering standards.

  • Leverage Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies to ensure performance specifications are met before releasing new processes to production.

  • Use analytical and problem-solving skills to identify root cause issues, identify solutions, monitor new processes, and collaborate to course correct when needed.

  • Implement improvement projects on-time using effective time management.

  • Ensure work is performed in adherence to good housekeeping and safety practices.

  • Communicate effectively and clearly to keep management and critical stakeholders informed.

  • Provide written communication, documentation, and reports.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum two years’ experience with manufacturing processes, equipment, and preventative maintenance programs, or equivalent education from an accredited trade school.

  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing, with or without a reasonable accommodation.

  • Understanding of PLC, PLC programming, electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, heating, robotics, and electronics, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

  • Experience working in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Willingness to work overtime, including weekends.

  • Adherence to safety standards, including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Ability to comprehend verbal or written instructions, read sketches, schematics, and diagrams, with or without a reasonable accommodation.

  • Physical ability to stand, reach, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Lean and/or Six Sigma certification.

  • Understanding of AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks.

Work Environment

The work environment is factory and manufacturing-based, with a mix of newer and older equipment. Employees must be comfortable working with both types of equipment. Adherence to safety standards, including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE), is mandatory.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Wichita, Kansas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $59759.00 - $82118.00/yr.
