Is looking to bring on a handful of English and Bilingual; Spanish speaking individuals onto their team towards the role of a Fully Remote Patient Financial Rep.

Job Title: English & Bilingual Patient Financial Advocate

Compensation:

  • Non-Bilingual: $16.85/hour

  • Bilingual: $17.69/hour

Start Date: 2/17

Schedule: Mon-Fri 8-hour shift anytime between 8am-6pm MST.

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Bilingual Patient Financial Advocate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for taking incoming calls from recent patients to reconcile their billing statements. You will respond to inquiries via calls and emails, and mail out letters to customers. Your responsibilities will include answering all inquiries regarding accounts, including but not limited to, account balances, outstanding balances, late fees, payoff schedules, changes of insurance, and disputes on the account.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Make and receive inbound/outbound phone calls to initiate arrangements for patients to pay their portion of the account.

  • Respond to patient billing inquiries.

  • Negotiate payments and payment plans with patients.

  • Submit credit card payments.

  • Escalate high complexity billing issues for resolution to team lead or supervisor.

  • Meet or exceed daily production requirements.

  • Adhere to all applicable disclosure and collections rules and regulations.

Top Skills - Must Haves:

  • Customer service

  • Call center experience

  • Healthcare customer service

  • Patient care

  • Bilingual in Spanish

  • 1+ years of call center experience

  • 6+ months of healthcare experience (billing, claims, patient scheduling)

  • Empathy and the ability to understand and help with personal situations

  • Medical terminology knowledge

Secondary Skills - Nice to Haves:

  • Inbound call experience

  • Customer support

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Insurance verification

  • Collections experience

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of recent call center experience

  • Medical/insurance/billing experience

  • Ideally, experience working remotely

Work Environment: Candidates must have the capability to work from home with reliable internet (50mbps) and a private place to take calls. All necessary equipment will be provided, including two screens. If the employee lives within 30 miles of one of our locations, they will be required to go into the office on Monday and Tuesday. If they live further than 30 miles, they will not be required to go into the office on those days.

Training: Training will be conducted Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM MST. After training, the daily shift will range from 8 AM to 6 PM MST. The training period includes 12 days with trainers and 3-4 days of nesting.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.69 - $17.69
