Job Title: Brake Press Operator

Job Description

As a Brake Press Operator, you will review and follow blueprints, work orders, tooling instructions, or other written specifications to understand the machining characteristics of various metals. Your responsibilities will include determining processing specifications such as materials, forms, sizes, surface conditions, material defects dimensions, tolerances, and operational sequences. You will ensure the correct material is used according to work orders, coordinate and execute material handling, and position workpieces for processing. Additionally, you will align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and materials onto machines, select and monitor speeds, feeds, controls, and tooling, and determine operations sequence for various materials and operating conditions. You will also create complicated or irregularly shaped parts or sections per established drawings, operate a variety of machines during processing as required, measure and examine pieces using precision measuring instruments, and perform quality control inspections.
