A successful candidate will have:
Strong leadership and team management abilities
Proficiency in business development and relationship-building
In-depth knowledge of commercial credit and loan structuring

Essential functions of the role:
Leadership
Assist in evaluating and facilitating new product and service ideas
Create accountability amongst team members to established goals and objectives
Lead regular department sales meetings and other business development activities
Mentor Business Banking team on deal structures, credit process, and closing
Participate in community organizations and civic organizations
Adhere to all internal policies, procedures, and practices
Support special projects as needed
Assist other associates, both within department and outside the department
Business Development
Seek new business opportunities for team and individual portfolio through active prospecting efforts
Log call activity into department specified program
Cross sell other bank departments’ products and services
Receive and process referrals sent from other bank departments
Solicit referrals from existing and new relationships
Participate in bank directed programs, marketing, campaigns and offerings
Client Portfolio Management
Focus on relationship expansion and growth opportunities of existing client portfolio
Responsible for relationships that fall within the upper end of the lending exposure size & complexity for the Business Banking Department
Ensure that customer satisfaction standards are maintained at expected levels
Identify non-loan opportunities and make referrals to other departments
Work with department Banking Specialist and credit department on portfolio management (loan renewals, annual reviews, day to day management)
Other duties as assigned within the scope and responsibility of the job
Requirements
College Degree Required
Minimum 5 years of business banking sales experience required
Experience in a management or leadership role preferred
Level of proficiency that enables the applicant to meet the job requirements
Proficiency with large server based applications and typical desktop software
