What you will do

This role is responsible for supplier scheduling and monitoring delivery for purchased parts, interaction with suppliers in his/her area of responsibility, monitoring that appropriate inventory levels are maintained, and tracking supplier performance.How you will do it

+ Establishes and maintains replenishment signals to assure a smooth flow of materials.

+ Coordinates with Suppliers to assure that materials are on site in a timely manner to facilitate accurate and adequate parts availability to meet customer demands.

+ Manage consignment programs for materials and blanket purchasing agreements for commodity items.

+ Monitor, track and report on supplier compliance to delivery due dates, identify risks to late delivery, handle escalations with suppliers according to JCI procedure.

+ Maintains effective working relationship and communication with all departments.

+ Collaborates with Product Management, Engineering, and Production Planning in new product introductions and planned product discontinuations in order to minimize obsolescence and maximize customer’s delivery expectations.

+ Collaborates with Procurement PBU Buyers to ensure Pricing is maintained accurately in SAP.

+ Collaborates with AP to ensure resolution of invoice discrepancies.

What we look for

Required Qualifications

+ A Bachelor’s Degree in an appropriate field of study preferred, Associates Degree and relevant experience or at least 2+ years of relevant experience in a similar role may be considered in lieu of degree.

+ Knowledge of manufacturing processes is required

+ Knowledge of inventory management software and best practices


+ Extensive knowledge of SAP, Min/Max, JIT strongly preferred

+ 2+ years of experience in materials or accounting experience in purchasing or logistics.

+ Experience in expediting and supplier relations management

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) as well as Internet software and E-mail is required.

+ Strong organizational skills

+ Ability to multitask and perform in a high paced environment

+ Willing to pursue APICS CPIM, or CSCP Certification
