Job Description Summary:

Under indirect supervision, oversees the operational planning, establishment, execution, and evaluation of a multifaceted program/project typically consisting of a set of closely related subprograms or associated activities. Oversees fiscal, operational, administrative, and human resources management of the program; seeks and develops outside funding sources, serves as principal point of representation and liaison with external constituencies on operational matters, and provides day-to-day technical/professional guidance and leadership as appropriate to the area of expertise. The program/project is usually focused to a single purpose; may be scientific, research, education, and/or services oriented, and is usually funded through contract/grant provisions.


Job Description:

This position is responsible for assisting with the organization of the training program to assure that Clinical Trials Office (CTO employees and managers are properly trained to perform their assigned duties. The CTO Trainer will help identify performance gaps.

The CTO Trainer will assist employees by providing training to new and seasoned employees through various methods such as, presentations, hands-on training, in-services and other educational programs.


Required Qualifications:


+ Education: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in nursing or related field.


+ Work Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical trial experience. Experience in clinical healthcare setting. Knowledge of current regulatory expectations and industry standards relating to compliance; possess a working knowledge of quality systems. Knowledge of clinical research, project management, clinical trial management-oversight, site management-monitoring, data management, pharma covigilance/drug safety, quality management, audits/regulatory agency inspections, regulatory compliance, as well as the interpretation and application of relevant regulatory agency documents/requirements to these topic areas.


+ Skills: Excellent presentation, communication and engagement skills with the ability to communicate in a positive and professional manner. Collaborative, energetic, team-oriented professional who is comfortable with change. Organizational and time management skills. Advanced Microsoft office skills (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).


Preferred Qualifications:


+ Education: Advanced degree.


+ Work Experience: Oncology experience. Experience training/on-boarding employees.


Job Duties Outlined:


Onboarding Process


+ Assists in planning, scheduling and coordinating onboarding for CTO staff


+ Participate as a member of the new hire's onboarding team


+ Assist in developing program materials and updates as needed. Will train others to deliver training.


+ Additional administrative duties as necessary.


Programming


+ Assist in updating and creating position-specific training to include guides, workbooks, checklists, and other support materials.


+ Demonstrates organization and time management in planning and executing programs or classes.


+ Participates in the presentation of various lectures/skills practices in order to meet the facilities clinical educational and regulatory requirements.


+ Pla for and help facilitate training effectively utilizing a variety of training delivery mechanisms including traditional instructor-led classrooms, co-facilitation, workshops, and virtual classes or webinars.


+ Collaborate with CTO team members to assist with developing training plans.


+ Research best practices for implementing training.


+ Explore learning styles and be able to accommodate training based on the users learning style.
