Job Title: Inside Machinist
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and meticulous Inside Machinist with a minimum of two years of experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Numerical Controlled Processes, Manual Data Input, and Tooling Offsets, along with Conversational Controllers. You should be able to operate both manual and NC machines such as lathes, mills, horizontal & vertical machining centers, and EDMs. Familiarity with controllers like Fanuc, Siemens, Acramatic, and Cincinnati-Milacron is beneficial. We expect you to be capable of using precision measuring instruments, understand threading and the various measuring/gauging requirements, and be familiar with drilling/tapping processes. Understanding carbide machining processes and the ability to comprehend complex mechanical drawings and blueprints are also required. A Machinist or Tool & Die Apprenticeship is recommended.

This is a contract position with a duration of 2 Year(s).
Work Environment
Our location is in Southeast Virginia, where it can get very hot and muggy during the summer and cool during the winter. The work environment is predominantly on a Navy vessel or in a shop environment, stretching over 5 miles. Candidates must be able to work any shift, including 1st shift: 7am-3:30pm, 2nd shift: 3:30-11pm, and a 3rd shift: 11pm-7am. Please note that flexibility will be appreciated but not guaranteed.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $37.50 - $37.50/hr.
