Job Title: CNC Mill Operator (3rd Shift)
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Mill Operator to manufacture quality products in CNC machining centers. This position involves changing materials and tools as required, inspecting products, and accurately filling out necessary paperwork. You will utilize shop orders, setup documents, and customer-provided drawings to ensure production, quality, and efficiency. Proficiency in using all required measuring tools and operating all machines in the area is essential. This is a nonexempt, hourly, full-time position on the 3rd shift (Mon-Fri, 12am-7am, with an option to start at 11pm to get 40 hours per week).
Responsibilities
Read and accurately interpret internal and customer-provided engineering drawings and setup documents.
Efficiently and accurately use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
Make adjustments to setups and processes as required to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
Determine cutting tool needs and replace them as needed without product loss or damage.
Utilize grinding and cutting tools such as air grinders, drill press, manual mill, grinders, saws, and burr tools.
Maintain a clean, organized work environment using 5-S techniques and good housekeeping skills.
Determine when to stop producing products due to quality or safety-related issues.
Maintain 'shop loss' procedures by proper documentation according to company procedures.
Maintain accuracy when clocking in/out of time and shop orders using the company's MRP system.
Use adequate lifting equipment or methods to prevent personal injury.
Maintain awareness of all safety-related MSDS information.
Follow company procedures for extinguishing flammable materials.
Maintain knowledge of proper use of machinery when dealing with excessive weight.
Perform any other duties as requested by the supervisor or manager.
Work well with others.
Lift up to 50 lbs.
Participate in all safety trainings/meetings.
Essential Skills
Knowledge of CNC machining in commercial and/or aerospace manufacturing.
Basic computer skills.
Knowledge of G and M codes and their functions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
3 to 5 years of CNC
Experience with 3, 4, and 5 axis machining.
Experience with Mazak equipment.

You will be working in a climate-controlled area with exposure to water-soluble coolants and loud noise. Steel toe boots are required. The shop floor is air-conditioned.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, Kansas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00
