Newman University Custodian FT - Summer Temp in Wichita, Kansas
The Housekeeping Department has several position openings for summer, full-time employment. May 10 - August 15, 2021
30% painting/moving furniture ? daily ? paint walls both interior and exterior as needed. No ladder work, ground level only.30% floor maintenance ? daily ? Vacuuming room carpets, sweeping hallways, gym floors, bleacher stands, dorm room floors, etc.40% custodial cleaning and trash removal ? daily ? clean all restrooms, lobbies, public areas, student rooms, etc. according to established daily practices which include floor scrubbing/mopping, trash removal, stocking paper supplies, surface cleaning and dusting, glass cleaning, sink & toilet bowl sanitation, polishing, etc.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States of America.
Must be flexible, reliable and punctual.
Must have basic understanding of cleaning techniques and able to operate basic household cleaning equipment.
Mus demonstrate ability to paint standard-sized walls.
Must be able to follow instructions, perform assigned duties in a reasonable amount of time, and with an acceptable degree of quality.
Showing initiative is a plus. Must be punctual!
Beginning and ending dates of positions: May 10, 2021 through August 15, 2021
Number of hours per week: up to 40
Rate of pay: $7.25 per hour
Days and times: Monday ? Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm (may vary), some weekends
Physical requirements of the job: Walking, bending, stooping, stretching, reaching, lifting, kneeling is required. Must be able to stand for 2 to 3 hour intervals. Applicants must be able to lift 30 ? 35 pounds three/four times per hour.
