Cutter Composite Materials - 7th Shift
To cut, identify and stage a variety of materials.
I. Works from APL’s, routings, specifications, and oral and written instructions to provide correct
materials and patterns as required for composites/advanced composites parts fabrication.
Operates the manual cutting of materials.
a. Prepares proper materials to be cut
b. Maintains proper angle and radii of cut.
c. Routinely inspects fixtures for damage.
d. Routinely inventories and rotates kits and materials.
e. Maintains all necessary documentation.
f. Checks incoming detail parts against APL for proper kit fill.
g. Maintains storage recording charts and required. Clocks all routing upon completion of
cut and kit operations.
h. Assist with staging of materials for lay-up
II. Requires the use of equipment such as 5-axis machines, table saws and routers.
III. Uses a variety of hand tools such as scissors, electric cutters, knives, markers, bag heat sealers,
scale and tape, saws and router. Uses CRT as required.
IV. Wears protective clothing and keeps work area clean as required of a controlled and contaminate
V. Responsible only for own work.
VI. Performs other related duties as required.
High school diploma or equivalent. Requires satisfactory completion of blueprint reading I and II.
Performs simple arithmetic and interpret specification sheets, requirement sheet and drawings.
Requires 12-24 months of fabrication or machining experience.
Good working conditions in controlled environment.
