We’re looking for curious individuals to apply for this role ! A competitive candidate will have energy toward problem-solving and process improvement. An ideal candidate will also have some accounting experience from one or more related jobs or internships .
The basics:
Perform basic accounting tasks , such as weekly payroll reconciliation s, intracompany transfer entries , or invoicing .
Execute system support tasks, such as cost center and profit center setup and modification.
Assist with month, quarter, and year end close duties as needed.
Participate in compliance initiatives, including documenting and improving existing internal controls .
A day in the life may include …
C ollaborat ing with the global accounting team on resolving complex financial issues , manag ing projects, and improv ing month end close processes .
R esearching and resolving intracompany transaction variances .
I mproving documentation of desktop processes .
Develop ing and implement ing new accounting methods and processes, as well as improvements to automated accounting processes .
Ensur ing compliance with government laws and regulations, policies, and professional standards.
Qualifications
Required:
Experience using Microsoft Excel
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
Must be willing and able to obtain clearance(s) through the US Department of Defense
What will put you ahead:
SAP experience
General knowledge of GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
DFARS and CAS standards knowledge
