Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities:
Perform a wide variety of material support activities that assure the timely delivery of high-quality products to the customer. Performed tasks such as product conveyance and multi-tasking, operation of material handling equipment, material support machinery, and clerical or record keeping activities involving material flow of all goods and parts.
Perform all tasks involved in receiving, location, issue, kit, preparation, and movement of materials (raw materials, tools/tooling, parts, drawings, equipment/support equipment supplies, surplus property and hazardous materials to facilitate the production process or other support functions including Inventory Record Accuracy.
Perform a variety of activities including, using power or hand operated tools and equipment, checking hardware and tools for visible damage, routing broken, worn, or obsolete hardware and tools to proper authority for disposition, opening containers and identifying weight and count of contents and verifying quality of incoming hardware. Additionally, operate any and all types of information systems required to perform assigned task.
Utilize proper equipment and devices to assure parts, equipment, structures, etc. are appropriately protected. Load and unload air cargo as required.
Check condition of the material handling and associated equipment or devices before and after operation and perform routine or maintenance such as topping off fluids, checking and adjusting tire pressure). Report major malfunctioning and unsafe equipment. Refuel equipment.
Verify part numbers, part count and similar information of in-process material.
Effectively communicate with management staff, other support functions, other employees, vendors and outside shipping personnel.
Train other employees in same job classification as requested or required.
Level B
Properly mix, label and distribute sealing compounds and other process materials, i.e. sealant, leveling compounds, or other chemicals/components through the utilization of static mixer, continuous mix machine, dasher mixer, or hand mixing requirements. Ensure proper identification of material expiration dates are maintained on products.
Operate industrial vehicles such as fork trucks, industrial trucks, and tractors of less than 15,000 lb. capacity to move or position and align parts, equipment, tools, material and any other goods within the shop defined area.
May perform any duties associated with Level C.
Level C
Perform all tasks associated with the kitting of paints, lubricants, adhesives, solvents or other materials/chemicals utilizing weight scales, sightlines, or solvent bottle filling machine directly related to repackaging.
Perform all tasks involved in ordering, receiving, kitting, maintain records, storing, checking, issuing, inventorying, shipping and releasing all goods.
Perform recording, posting, filing, coordinating changes, gathering and furnishing information, releasing and routing orders. Produce and maintain visibility.
Inspect content of and clear toolboxes, issue hold out notices as required. Clean and recondition respirators.
Dress tool grinder wheels, cut off drills and reamers, etc., as required.
Perform tasks such as build containers, packaging goods and container over pack preparation required to prepare and distribute goods along with associated documentation and system updates. Assure proper handling and packaging of hazardous materials, per established domestic and international rules, regulations and mandates.
Operate equipment in preparing parts/material for appropriate disposition. Cut, seal, tag, measure, wrap, stencil, tape and label material as required.
Setup and operate box making machine to alter fiberboard type material and/or fillers to fabricate standard and nonstandard boxes. Stamp boxes and store as required.
Operate motive power vehicles such as rider/stacker and similar equipment to move, position and stage parts, equipment, tools and material. 10. Move Critical to Load and Direct Charge parts across the factory areas to expedite the closure of those parts. Hand carry to customer areas when complete. Primary mode of movement is scooters.
Qualifications
Requirements:
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
Must be willing and able to work any shift
Must have a valid DL
Ability to lift 50lbs and do physical work
