Short Contract Assignment
This role designs airframe structure for new programs, requiring an advanced knowledge of Catia V6 and Enovia, familiarity with airframe structure (sheet metal, extrusions, machinings, etc.), and appropriate communication/coordination skills to collaborate with support groups and drive designs through layout, routing, and release.
A typical day is spent modeling concepts and finalized layouts in Catia V6 and creating required drawings, as well as populating part information in Enovia for route/release. Designers will be required to independently seek input from support groups and incorporating that feedback in order to progress and mature designs.
• Coordinate designs with support groups, gather feedback and steer team to acceptable design solutions
• Execute designs in Catia V6 and Enovia
o Solid Detail Modeling
o Assy/Instl Layouts
o Drafting – Details and Assys/Instls
o Enovia – BOM and Route/Release
• Engineering Bachelor's Degree
• Advanced Catia V6 knowledge – Sheet Metal, Part Design, Drafting
• Familiarity with Textron Aviation and Enovia
• Communication Skills – collaborate with team and support groups constantly
• Coordination Skills – independently incorporate feedback to progress and mature design
