Fidelity Bank Director of Commercial Banking in Wichita, Kansas

Job Overview: The candidate for this role will oversee the Commercial Banking, Construction Lending, Treasury Services, Business 360, and Commercial Card divisions across all markets that Fidelity Bank serves.

The candidate for this position will be responsible for:

  • Participating as a member of the Senior Executive Team, which is the main leadership team for the bank. This would include strategic planning, accountability for long term goals and being a leader across the organization.

  • The development and implementation of the operational plan to achieve financial goals and to promote company growth in new customers, assets and profitability including overseeing loan and deposit acquisition.

  • Managing staff sales productivity in loans and deposits, as well as supervising the operating procedures developed for promoting efficient business practices.

  • Creating a positive atmosphere and image for Fidelity Bank, while building a culture around excellence, courtesy and service to customers.

  • Leading various teams of employees ranging from commercial bankers to treasury management bankers. This would include regular communication, problem solving, one-on-one coaching, and creating action plans for each team.

Requirements for the position include:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in banking related field,

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in leadership and management.

  • Strong problem solving, negotiating and conceptual skills.

  • Strong written, verbal communication and computer skills.

  • The ability to work flexible and/or late hours.

  • Occasional overnight, air and/or road travel.

Preferred Qualifications Include:

  • Significant involvement in lending, deposit, marketing and financial areas.
