City Wide Facility Solutions Director of Operations in Wichita, Kansas

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership:

  • Develop and implement efficient systems and cost-effective processes to enhance operational success.

  • Oversee operational budgets, ensuring financial goals are met or exceeded.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Facility Service Managers (FSMs).

  • Conduct biweekly ride-alongs with FSMs to ensure adherence to operational standards and foster skill development.

  • Identify training needs and coordinate off-site training sessions as required.

  • Implement and monitor individual performance scorecards.

Client and Vendor Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain relationships with clients to achieve a client retention rate above 90%.

  • Manage and grow key accounts, including negotiating terms and ensuring satisfaction.

  • Develop partnerships with vendors and Independent Contractors (ICs) to align with scope requirements.

Collaboration and Cross-Selling:

  • Partner with sales and commercial building teams to identify growth opportunities and drive non-janitorial services.

  • Actively promote cross-functional collaboration and innovation.

Strategic Planning and Performance Monitoring:

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success in operational, financial, and client management areas.

  • Conduct weekly team meetings to review progress, address challenges, and boost morale.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years in operations or account management leadership.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.

  • Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and lead cross-functional teams effectively.

  • Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Preferred Certifications:

  • CPSP (Certified Professional Salesperson): Enhances strategic account management skills.

  • SAMA (Strategic Account Management Association): Focuses on relationship management for key accounts.

Requirements

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Ability to travel within the market up to 50%.

  • Occasional exposure to outdoor elements or physical activity.
