Job Title: Sales Director, Americas

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Aircraft Sales for the Americas region.You will be responsible for delivering sales within the Americas, strengthening our presence in key markets and working alongside the sales team and distribution network, to implement and drive the strategy for the region.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aviation sales, excellent leadership skills, superior communication, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets. This role requires a strategic visionary capable of developing and executing effective sales strategies to expand our market presence and increase revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve sales targets and expand Pipistrel Aircraft's market share.

  • Increase the sales pipeline and close deals to meet or exceed annual sales targets.

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the Americas sales team and distributors, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional development.

  • Identify and research new sales opportunities, including potential customers, markets, and partnerships.

  • Organize and participate in demonstration flights, corporate and regional events to showcase Pipistrel Aircraft's products.

  • Collaborate with the America's distributors to support opportunities, events, and demonstration flights within their respective territories.

  • Serve as the primary interface between potential flight training entities, Pipistrel, and distributors in the America's.

  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies and product development.

  • Regularly prepare and present sales reports to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with company representatives, distributors, customers, and key stakeholders within the territory.

  • Collaborate with distributors, sales team, engineering, product support and production, to resolve customer issues and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Aviation, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in aircraft sales, with a strong understanding of the aviation industry and market dynamics.

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a sales team.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to travel frequently within the America's and internationally as needed.

  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.

  • Strategic, results-oriented thinker focused on achieving sales growth.

  • Collaborate with the Marketing team as needed,

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Commercial Pilot Certification

  • Familiarity with Pipistrel Aircraft's product line and technology

  • Extensive knowledge of the LSA & Trainer market

  • Established network of contacts within the aviation industry
