- Lead the creation of a new Center for Enterprise and Community Engagement (CECE).
- Serve as a special appointment (i.e., non-tenure track) faculty member in the Division of Business. The normal teaching load will consist of one course per semester. This teaching load will be waived during the first year of the CECEs existence in order to allow the Director adequate time to pioneer the CECE.
- Serve as a liaison between the community, faculty, and students in order to develop service- learning opportunities within the Wichita community.
- Serve as project manager for the service-learning experiences that occur via the CECE.
- Actively engage in resource development in order to support the work of the CECE.
{=html} <!-- --> - Engage with potential community partners, as well as Friends University faculty and students, in order to develop the vision and mission for the CECE, as well as an operational plan for the CECEs first years of existence. - Form an advisory board to assist with the development of the CECEs mission, vision, and operational plan. - Develop a model wherein potential CECE partners are engaged around needs or problems their organization is experiencing and potential solutions are developed via the engagement of Friends University students.
