This position is responsible for operating a commercial motor vehicle to distribute/spray asphalt tack on the construction area ahead of the asphalt paver. Seeking dedicated people with desire to learn and build a career while exceeding the highest quality of safety standards. Will be required to operate different aspects of the vehicles systems to load and unload product as required. Requires Class B commercial drivers license with Tanker endorsement and valid DOT medical card.

Essential Functions
  • Responsible for loading truck from emulsion
  • Responsible for applying emulsion to road surface prior to
  • Follow appropriate safety procedures for transporting and distributing product to designated job sites complying with all USDOT regulations.
  • Check vehicle to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good operating
  • Maintain logs of operating hours and delivery of product, following applicable state and federal
  • Load/unload and transport product in a manner that eliminates contamination and maintains
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspection of truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water.
  • Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks such as adding oil, fuel, and radiator fluid, or performing minor repairs.
  • Climb ladders or stairs to inspect loads, ensuring that the product is accurate, and vehicle is

Qualifications:
  • Tack Truck or Distributor experience
  • Knowledge of welding and general mechanics
  • High school education or GED

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in outside weather conditions and is exposed to airborne particles. The employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
